Mojo Monday Week 136 and Heart 2 Heart
Today, I decided to combine both the Mojo Monday Challenge and the Heart 2 Heart Challenge. I am really new to the whole challenge thing but find I get a lot of inspiration from them. My life is so busy with work, church, and after-work activities, I find I don't have time to enter every week's blogs. You would think that with no children at home anymore,(just hubby, dog, and me), I would have plenty of time. It doesn't work that way. I have reached the age in my life that everything takes twice as long to do. Age has a way of catching up with us, I guess. My goal is to bring a smile to you as you look at my card. My mother-in-law will be the recipient of the card. Inside I have stamped Happy Mother's Day. A note will be written to her, also. God blessed me with the best Mother-In-Law in the world. I would not trade her for anyone. I hope you enjoy my card and have a blessed day. The colors I used for this post is Cranberry, Buttercup, and Garden Green. I used an older paper pack called Let's Get Together. The ribbon colors are Cranberry and Garden Green. The stamp sets are Friendship Blessings and Endless Love. All products are Close To My Heart.

MojoMonday Week 133
I love this week's Mojo Monday design. It has been such a busy week that it has taken me until Friday to get my card online. I used the Veranda paper pack, colors creme brulee, cocoa, garden green, and juniper ink pads, and the stamp set So Sweet. These are all products of Close To My Heart. I love the Veranda paper pack. It reminds me of the South and Southern Belles. The stamp set So Sweet fits perfectly. In Tennesse we enjoy the flight of the fiesty little hummingbirds that fill the air with their gentle hum while they eat the nectar from trumpet vines and honeysuckles.

Happy Birthday
The flower pot on this card was made using an ornament punch that came out during the Christmas holidays. The tip of the bottom of the punched out ornament has been cut off so that it looks like a flowerpot. I used CloseToMyHeart paper and inks. The colors are baby pink and garden green. Markers were used to color each part of the flower and stem, then breathed upon to increase the moisture. The edges of the card were inked to make it stand out. It is a simple card but I really like the idea. It is not my own idea but one from SplitCoastStampers.

Special Easter
What an Easter afternoon! We were blessed to have my parents and our daughter and her family come for Easter lunch after church. After lunch, we did the one thing that we all enjoy when we get together: we play music. Our daughter plays the fiddle, our 12 year old grandson plays the mandolin, my dad plays the dobro, and I play the piano. My husband got in on the fun too; he is learning to play the banjo. I am attempting it too, but right now I am better on the piano. I have been playing since I was a teenager. My son-in-law has a beautiful voice so he sang lead. My mother helped him. Our youngest grandson (10) just got a trumpet from his great-grand father. Maybe next year he will be playing too. My mother took this picture of us all together. How many families are blessed with four generations that can play music together?

While visiting with a stamping friend this weekend, I created several Easter cards. Other than Christmas, Easter is my favorite holiday. It is the blessed day of the resurrection of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. I do not know where my family and I would be today were it not for the gift of salvation. God has brought us through so many trials. We owe everything to him. I send several cards at Easter. I used a competitors stamp set on this card. I love CTMH but occasionally I do find a stamp set that I really like. I love sets with Easter flowers in them. Hope you enjoy the card.
Mojo Monday #130
This is my first Mojo Monday post. This is my first post of my work, period! I just love the challenge of the Mojo Monday patterns! I have not been making cards very long. When the homemade card "bug" hit my area of East Tennessee, I said that I was not going to start something new. But as you can see, The "bug" bit me too. I love creating something to give to someone else that will make them smile. God says to let our light shine and when I make a card, expressing my love for them, I feel that they can feel the love of God through me. God has blessed me with a loving heart, and I must express it.
I am a Close To My Heart Consultant and just love the company. Their papers, inks, and stamps are awesome! I used all CTMH products on this challange. The colors I used are chocolate, sorbet, and sweet leaf. The paper packet used was Twitterpated. The stamp set is Grown With Love.
